Paul Adams on the go!
The year is definately in full swing. Paul is directing 'Shakespeare Shorts' for the Qld Shakespeare Ensemble, working as fight director for a production of MACBETH opening in the VISY Theatre at the Brisbane Powerhouse on 30 March 2011, and is coordinating a festival production with actors from NSW, VIC, WA, QLD and Canberra. Paul Adams back with the Bard.
Paul Adams is currently preparing to direct for the Qld Shakespeare Ensemble for a third year running. In 2011 Paul will once again direct QSE's 'Shakespeare Shorts' which are 30 minute versions of some of Shakespeare's most famous plays. This year he will direct 'Half Hour Hamlet' and a new short 'Express Macbeth'. (Jan 2011)

Paul Adams Directs, Performs and Fights
Continuing a busy year, Paul has recently directed a 10 minute play for the Brisbane Short and Sweet Festival, performed in 'THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR' with 4MBS Classic Radio Shakespeare in the Park, and was Fight Director for Qld Shakepeare Ensemble's 'RICHARD III' directed by Emmy nominated Tom McSweeney. Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble and World Theatre Day
Friday 27th March is World Theatre Day and as part of the celebrations the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble have opened up the final dress rehearsal of their 'Shorts' productions.
The evening will begin with the reading of Augustus Boals World Theatre Day address from 7pm then QSE's Half Hour Hamlet and Instant Romeo and Juliet will be run.

Paul Adams to work with Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble
2009 will bring a new role for Paul as a member of the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble.
QSE have been operation since 2001 and have built a solid foundation within the Brisbane Arts Community. Artistic Director Rob Penselfini
is on of only five qualifed Linklater technique trainers in Australia and utilisies this training within the Ensemble. QSE works as a true ensemble with core members contributing to ensure the continued operation of the business.

Paul Adams in A Midsummer Nights Dream
I have the great delight of being cast in the upcoming Harvest Rain
production of William Shakespeare's- A Midsummer Nights Dream. This is a wonderful play and I look forward to treading the boards again in another Shakespearean role.
Season will run from 4th - 26th of July 2008.

A great opportunity
I had the wonderful opportunity to do a rehearsal reading on a feature film recently. I know I am not letting out any secrets with the information that the film, Subdivision will soon be shot in Queenslands Hervey Bay and stars Ashley Bradnam (co-writer), Gary Sweet, Brooke Satchwell, Bruce Spence and Kris McQuade. The rehearsal with director Sue Brooks (Japanese Story) and all the main cast was a tremendous experience. A great day working with some amazing talent of the Australian film industry.

Brisbane actor and writer, Paul Adams enters 'A Heart Transformed' into QPIX Raw Nerve Project.
'A Heart Transformed' is a two scene elizabethan short script. Originally written for performance at a medieval feast in Brisbane, it has been reformatted into a screenplay for the competition. Information on shortlists will be out in mid January.
