Generating Leads:
To kickstart your email marketing campaign, it’s crucial to gather leads.
Once you have them you need to manage and communicate with them and for that you need some sort of Customer Relationship Management software (CRM).
A CRM helps you build and send email campaigns and also tracks who opens and clicks within your email, giving you vital information to help you improve your email marketing over time. After trialling a few different CRM’s I settled on HubSpot for the mix of excellent easy to use features, and value for money. I don’t think you can beat the price for what you get.
HubSpot’s CRM offers two ways to manually import leads: manual entry of individual contacts or importing CSV files. However, for increased effectiveness, you can utilise the HubSpot online form. It is super easy to create a form within your HubSpot account, allowing you to capture more leads.
You can select the style and type of form, including the necessary fields, and customise it to match your brand so you can create a seamless lead capture experience.

Opt-In Rules and Clear Communication:
Before sending any emails, it’s essential to comply with opt-in rules and clearly communicate your intentions to prevent contacts from marking your messages as spam or unsubscribing. It is important to maintain a positive reputation. By ensuring your contacts have willingly opted in to receive emails, you can avoid damaging your reputation and maintain a trustworthy connection with your audience.
Segmentation for Targeted Communication:
To maximize the impact of your email campaigns, segmenting your contact lists is crucial. HubSpot’s CRM allows you to categorise your contacts based on various criteria, such as geographical location, life cycle stage, industry, job title, and more. By creating well-defined lists, you can tailor your messages to address specific audiences, resulting in higher engagement and conversion rates.
Crafting Compelling Emails:
Once you have your segmented lists, it’s time to craft compelling emails that resonate with your audience. HubSpot offers a range of email templates that cater to different purposes, such as newsletters, sales emails, or the ability to build your own from scratch. Personalising the emails will give them a human touch. Add a personal signature to enhance the connection with recipients. Additionally, a strong call-to-action helps guide your audience towards the desired action and increases the likelihood of conversion.
Tracking and Analyzing Email Campaign Performance:
After sending your email campaign, analysing its data to understand how your subject line and content is performing and identify areas for improvement. HubSpot’s CRM provides comprehensive statistics that include open rates, click-through rates, and other engagement metrics. By reviewing these insights, you can make data-driven decisions, refine your email marketing skills, and increase engagement with your target audience.
